Atlanta has been the world's busiest airport for passengers in 27 of the last 28 years (ACI World, via CNN, 14 Apr 2026 — 106.3 million passengers in 2025), and Delta runs most of it. A domestic Delta-to-Delta connection here typically stays behind security — the exception is exactly the one people ask about most: landing from outside the US. That time is our estimate for Delta connections here: flight records don't say which passengers made their connection. Days when the second flight was cancelled aren't counted.
